The idea for Strawberry Rhubarb Sour started in the same place as most of our beer ideas; early in the morning, over coffee with a piece of toast. Jess had just opened a fresh jar of her homemade strawberry and rhubarb jam which was vibing with our standard morning routine on a whole other level. It was then that Jess decided it was imperative that this breakfast experience become something we share with the masses. This beer is built on a hefty backbone of malted and flaked wheat and spent a lengthy conditioning time on Strawberry puree and fresh rhubarb stalks, all combining into what is effectively the brosé of beer. Crushable and effervescent with vibes reminiscent of the feeling you get when settling in to a loooonnnnnggggggg Sunday lunch. This kettle soured ale is loud with fresh strawberries and rhubarb, sour strawberry lollies and a hint of strawberry gelato. Did we mention strawberry?
