In 1878 Winston, a lost English Foxhound stumbled upon a friendly publican around the corner on Evans St. He welcomed the poor dog, giving at a new home.
That day, a legend was born, the pub gained a loyal mascot and a new home.
Today "The Welcome Hotel" continues to be known for it's warm hospitality & we thought Winston deserved a beer brewed in his honour.
